Since 2006, the “Germany – Land of Ideas” initiative and Deutsche Bank have been awarding the best ideas and projects that contribute to Germany’s future viability with the “365 Places in the Land of Ideas” competition under the patronage of the Federal President. On January 31, 2011, the winners were announced, including the BMBF-funded project ILEWS – Integrative Early Warning Systems for Gravitational Mass Movements, in which terrestris played a significant role, and was named “Selected Location 2011.”
Every day there is a selected location in Germany, which is then the focus of attention and has the opportunity to present itself and its innovations effectively in the media. The day for ILEWS is September 27, 2011. On this day, an event will take place to present the ILEWS project at the Geographical Institute of the University of Bonn.
